Problem with deploying Printers by Group Policy in Server 2008 R2
I am working out of a WAN. My DNS server is set to forward to the DNS server of the WAN. I tried to deploy my printers by group policy but I keep getting the following error: "The specified domain does not exist or cannot be contacted" Is this because my DNS is forwarded and if so how do I solve this problem?

What do you mean by “I am working out of a WAN”? Where do you see this error message? Please post IPCONFIG/ALL from your DC. Hi, It is impossible to deploy printer over the WAN connection. Please make sure that client computer could be communited with domain controller, that is to say, you are able to ping the internal DNS domain name from client computer. BrentPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
