Problem with a 2008R2 server
Hi,
I have problem accessing Roles and Features in the Server Manager console. The error happens while Server Manager collects data (detailes are bellow).
The server is running on physical server (HP ProLiant DL320G6) and has AD and DNS roles.
Direct access to consoles works. The problem happend after I updated the server with latest windows updates. Program and Features does not show most of the updates that have been installed on the server. Because of this I don't exactly know how to uninstall
them. I would send the windows updates installation history but can't find a method to export it to a list.
Please suggest the best way to solve this.

By the way, the other server has identical (as far as I know) HW and SW configuration. All the windows updates applied with no problem. Server Manager works.

Hello,
please check if the following update is installed:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/974431/en-us/
And compare with the answer from "kaspik" on 12.1.2010 in:

Meinolf Weber,
the update kb974431 was successfully installed on 1st of june. I followed the procedure, but with no improvement.
The error apeared after the last updates that we wanted to install on the server on 10th of june.
Here is an export of Windows Update History:
KB980218 => 10th of june => successful KB979916 (.NET Framework 3.5 SP1 security update) => 10th of june => successful
KB979559 => 10th of june => successful KB890830 (Windows Malicius Software Removal Tool) => 10th of june => failed
KB979482 => 10th of june => failed KB982381 => 10th of june => failed KB980195 => 10th of june => failed
For which of the updates should I replace the .mum. And how to identify the corrupted files.
The System Update Readiness Tool runs for hours and does not seem to finish.

To identify the corrupted updates I started System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Edition (KB947821) [April 2010].
It has been running for last 6 hours: The status of Windows Update Standalone Installer: "Searching for updates on this computer..."
I will leave it running until tomorow but it does not look promissing.
Is there another way to identify the corrupted update/updates?

I think, I found solution:
1. Disable Windows Update service
2. Reboot server
3. Rename folder SoftwareDistribution (%systemroot%)
4. Change start type for service Windows Update to manual
5. run kb 947821 update
I have this error:
