Problem with Microsoft Indexing Service
Hi, I'v been reading about the Microsoft Indexing Service for days and can't seem to get it to work properly. I have a folder called "D:\Inetpub\mydomain.com\indexing_files" where i have some pdf and word documents I'd like to index. I do the following to set up a catalog: -Right click Indexing Services -New>Catalog -I name it testCatalog and specify another location "D:\Inetpub\mydomain.com\test_index" -I then right click on my new catalog -Select New>Directory -Specify "D:\Inetpub\mydomain.com\indexing_files" (where my files are) Once I do this, I restart the service. My problem is whenever I go to Query Catalog and try doing a test search, I'm prompted with a dialog box that states "No results". Are my files not being indexed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
