Hi, What system are you running? Windows server 2003 or Windows Server 2008? 32bit or 64bit? R2 or not? You can try to download them from Microsoft Download Center and manually install them in Safe Mode. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx Tim Quan - MSFT

1. Automatic Windows Updates turned ON in Control Panel? (At least for Notification, but preferably Automatic Download)2. Windows Server, in Group Policy:Computer Configuration/ Administrative Templates/ Windows Components/ Windows Update:"Configure Windows Updates" = EnabledI've had either, or both, of these cause Windows Updates to fail when attempting install from a manual download (on workstations).Certainly follow Tim's advice first as he is far more qualified, but I did want to share my experience since it has resolved a couple of similar issues on individual workstations.
