Problem connecting to Samba Fileshare from a Win7 and W2K8 systems
We have Samba FileShare on a Linux system which we can connect to successfully from either WindowsXP or W2K3, but we are having problem connecting to the same share from Win7 and W2K8.
What would I need to change on these new OS for the connection to work
Thanks

One reason may be because of Windows internal firewall configured in Win 7 and Win2008. Disable firewalls and check the port.
Ex: for ftp server
From Source system's Win7/Win2008.. goto command prompt
type: telnet <destination server IP> 21
