Print spooler fails to start after application install - W2K3
I installed PDF xchange 4 on our print server/terminal server/file server. The install required a restart, possibly due to the print to PDF feature. Since the install happened this error appears in the system logs 15 times every 30 seconds: Event Type: Warning Event Source: Server Event Category: None Event ID: 2510 Date: 29/04/2010 Time: 12:00:35 User: N/A Computer: DC1 Description: The server service was unable to map error code 1722. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. The print spooler will stop only seconds after a start command is sent. I've tried uninstalling the software and restarting but the issues still exist. At the moment, it is installed and updated. Hi, Error 1772 usually means "The RPC server is unavailable." Please check the following services first: Remote Procedure Call (RPC) should be set to 'Automatic' startup type and should indicate 'Started'. Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator should be set to 'Manual' startup type and will only start when needed. If the problem continues, please run SFC /scannow For more information, please refer to the following articles: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888206 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822219 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947477 Regards, Bruce
