Primary user missing for some accounts

G'day,

Using SCCM 2012 R2 and SCSM 2012 R2.

Have a SCCM connector in SCSM running that is importing the primary user account, along with it's other computer properties.

I've however found for some accounts while the primary user is set in SCCM it is missing from the SCSM.

When I observed this previously I created a new connector, disabled the old one and the new connector synced the primary user as expected.

The connector is completing without any errors over night.

Has anyone seen this issue or been able to fix it?

Thanks.

Hi,

So you still facing the issue?

Hi,

Apologies for the delay in replying. Been fighting fires with domain controllers and other such things. :-)

For me it seems to have resolved itself without any interaction.

My concern is if it's a known issue that people have come across and if so how they have gone about troubleshooting why SCCM may have a primary user that SCSM is missing even after a supposedly successful sync of the sccm connector.

Thanks.

I have also seen this behaviour in a number of environments. Does anyone have any ideas what causes this?

I can confirm this issue. Some computer accounts in SCSM have no primary user defined, but it is defined in SCCM.

Have you confirmed that the SCCM Connector is running successfully without errors?

Check the operations manager event log to see if it is reporting anything.

Hello,

I looked in the operations manager event log and found no errors regarding the ConfigMgr connector. I only found this;

(Information) ConfigMgr Connector imported 57 changes for data of type System.ComputerPrimaryUser from cache table Cached_CMv5_TopComputerUser.

From this message we can see that a number of primary users are being changed, but still not for all computer CI. I looked at a history of one such Computer CI, which Primary User didn't change. You can see the history of this object in a table below. At one time Primary User changed but then it didn't change back until analyst did it manually. Primary User was set in SCCM but it didn't sync into SCSM.
