Pressing CTRL Key to immediately execute command on terminal server
Does anyone know what pressing CTRL Key to immediately execute command actually does? I have a Windows 2003 terminal server that will become exceptionally slow, and if you are waiting with an hour glass for something, say the start menu to come up, and press the CTRL key, it will immediately do whatever you were waiting for. I am trying to determine where the actual bottle neck is as this server has plenty of available CPU and Memory. I believe it to be a problem with the lack of available threads, but am curious as to what the CTRL key actually does in this situation. Thanks -jon

Hi, This is like a strange performance problem. You can update the version of RDC, if the problem persists.Technology changes life

This is not unique to the version of RDP of the server, or the version of RDC of the client. On a console connection, on a physical server, pressing CTRL changes the IDLE_WAIT / Priority in the queue or something...
