Hello, I can not ping our domain by it's netbios name. It's a server 2008R2 running DNS but no WINS. I was just wondering if this is an issue? On some other domains that we support you can ping the domain by its NetBios name. Any help would be much appreicated Thank you. Mark

Hello, by default ICMP protocol is blocked from the firewall in Windows server 2008 R2. Also pinging the domain name is not a qualified option.
