Permissions on Windows 2003 Server to prevent moving of folders
Is there a way to setup permissions to allow the user to have access to a folder, but not move that folder? Basically, we give users access to a directory with multiple folders. They have full permissions, etc.. but sometimes we find a user has 'accidently' dragged and dropped a folder into another folder... is there a way to block them from doing this?thanks.Jill

Hi Jill, The "Modify" permission controls the folder drag and drop. Please go to folder properties -> Security tab, uncheck the Allow box for Modify permission. After applying this change, the corresponding user can no longer drag or drop the folder while they arestill able to read it. Thanks, Bruce
