Password expiry notification gets ignored in the corner of the screen

In 2008 the password expiry notification is a notification at the corner of our long screens. It's easily missed and ignored.
How do I get back the dialog box that forces you to click ok to continue to your desktop?
Thanks,
rudif

Hello,
never have seen this, sounds for me that your display drivers are not correct working or the resolution is somehow messed up.Best regards

Hi,
I want my users to get prompted with a dialog box when their passwords are about to expire (as in 2003), not the notification in the tray after they have logged in.

Thanks,
rudif

Hi,
After my search, I think this is by design.
In Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 or previous version OS. When your password is 14 days from expiration, you will receive a Password Change Notification when logging on computer.
But form Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, when you password is 5 days from expiration, you will receive notification Consider changing your password.
I think you may contact MSDN supporter about how to customize a prompt message.

Hello,
ok, now i understand your question complete. Of course the tray icon doesn't belong to the display driver.Best regards
