You are not entering correct password. Please pay attention to special characters and capitalization of letters.

You do not provide us with any information about your environment, so we have to guess a bit.  Windows has the ability to enforce password complexity.  This means it can enforce minimum length, types of characters that must be contained (upper case, lower case, numeric, special character) and how many of those types must be contained in the string.  This is what Sharad is implying in his answer.  You have to know what the constraints are for your environment and then ensure that you meet those constraints.

As a start, try creating a password that is at least 8 characters long and contains at least one character from each of the types.  Example AbCd12+=

agree with Tim, if you have enabled a password complexity on your environment then you have to comply with it.

Example of password that complies complexity: (depends of course on the settings on your environment)

MyEasyPass123word

myPass+Word123

It will depends of course on the length set on your environment, and if you are trying to enter a complex password which you might have used already then it will not accept also if password history is enforced.

Good luck!!! Cheers...

Hi,

It will be great if you can provide the complete prompting message, so that it'll be easy for us to help you.

The most likely case is what others mentioned above, your new password doesn't meet the complexity requirements. So please have a check on it: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh994562(v=ws.10).aspx

If this is not the case, please post back with more details, then we will take further look.

Regards,

Eth
