Hi, If all the domain controllers in your parent domain is running Windows Server 2008 R2, you may raise your domain functional level to Windows Server 2008 R2. If you want to raise your forest functional level to Windows Server 2008 R2, you will need to upgrade all the domain controller operating system to Windows Server 2008 R2 and raise domain functional level to Windows Server 2008 R2 for all the domains. For more information, please refer to the following Microsoft TechNet article: Understanding Domain and Forest Functionality http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc771294.aspx Regards,Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
