Parallel Processing on Windows Server 2008
I want to develop aparallel image processing application, but I don't know which version of Windows Server 2008 I can run true parallel processing. (My friend told me that Windows Server 2008 with Hyper-V (Standard or higher) support parallel processing, but I cannot find the the information that will support to his suggestion, and most information I found from internet said about Windows HPC Server 2008 only, but I want to install Windows Server on my notebook, so I thinkI cannot install Windows HPC Server 2008 on my notebook!)P.S. Many client OS, such as Windows Vista, Windows XP, can similary run the process like parallel processing, it's mean transfer the process between each CPU core installed on the computer.

Hello, Firstly, I would highly suggest that you post this in our MSDN forum as based on some research, I find that it may need some special platform for developing or running parallel processing applications. I am sorry to say that I am not good at developing-related questions and am not sure about this information. People in the MSDN forum are mainly focus on developing-related questions and they have better knowledge on this. http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn Just for your information, I find the following two interesting videos and hope they can help you get a clue about this: http://channel9.msdn.com/posts/Charles/Parallel-Computing-Platform-Overview-and-Future-Directions/ http://channel9.msdn.com/posts/Charles/Parallel-Computing-Platform-Asynchronous-Agents-for-Native-Code/ Best regards,Chang Yin
