Page File on C: ?
I'm trying to move the the page file on the C: to D: but Windows tells me that if I don't have a page file on C, it won't be able to create a dump file if the box crashes. So if my box goes Blue Screen Of Death, I won't have dump file for analysis? What is your recommendation of placing the page file? Thanks

In order for a machine to capture a memory/crash dump, it is required that the page file should be located on the system drive.http://blogs.technet.com/perfguru/default.aspx?p=2Ymmv, this is a tradeoff between page file optimization and the ability to capture crash dumps for analysis. Here's a great article on page file optimization from Daniel Petri:http://www.petri.co.il/pagefile_optimization.htm.Salvador Manaois III MCITP | Enterprise/Server Admin Bytes & Badz :http://badzmanaois.blogspot.com
