P2V the physical VMM server?

My VMM installation is on a physical server. Since I need to use VMM to P2V anything in my Hyper-V environment, is it not possible to P2V this server?

Is it possible to create a new VMM server (virtual) to take the role of managing my 2008 R2 cluster from the physical VMM server?

Thanks

You must install new temporary VMM for P2V or use disk2vhd.

You can use Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter 3.0 to P2V.

Other option would be Disk2VHD from Sysinternals

We used both tools in my company to convert VMs and it has worked fine. The best is that those tools are free. :)
