I would like to setup a test lab to achieve the following, I have a HP PC and I would like to use SCVMM to do a P2V for a DR scenario where my PC crashes and I can fireup my PC on a hyper-v box. However I would like to automate the p2v process of my PC, may do this once a week, would it be possible to only update the changes all does the whole p2v process have to be proformed?

Hi Mika,

You can automate the process using powershell but the problem that you can not have differencing P2V so you have to P2V the whole servers eerytime. I would recommend you to check backup solutions like DPM which gives you the ability to backup and restore VM with differencing option
