Outlook CSV to Actice Directory LDAP
Hey all, Ok, genuine Noob flailing his way through an LDAP setup. I have Win2K3 Server setup with Active Directory, the main purpose of this action is to provide LDAP services for our new Voip phone system. A little background: We are now operating on a Mitel Navigator Voip Phone. One of the features this phone utilizes is an LDAP directory lookup for phone #'s and Contact names. (It will also search Outlook Contacts as well, but we have several personal accounts that are the only accounts being picked up by the phone.) In our business we use a program called Work Group Share and everyone in our Workgroup can add/delete/modify from a single "Shared" contacts file. This file is massive, close to 500 contacts with phone numbers and email addresses in it. Not something I want to retype into an LDAP. I am looking for a tutorial or program that will allow me to import this contact info into Active Directory so we can access the information on the new phone system and Outlook for that matter. Right now Active Directory is a fresh install with only the top level directory exsisting. Appreciate any help!

Hi, You can use LDIFDE or CSVDE to import bulk data into AD. For your reference: Using LDIFDE to import and export directory objects to Active Directory http://support.microsoft.com/kb/237677 How to use Csvde to import contacts and user objects into Active Directory http://support.microsoft.com/kb/327620 Using CSVDE and LDIFDE to Export Information from Active Directory Snapshots in Windows Server 2008 http://www.petri.co.il/using-csvde-ldifde-export-active-directory-snapshots-windows-server-2008.htm Thanks.
