Operating System Partition
I am building a new server. The server will run Windows 2003 Enterprise Server 64 BIT and SQL 2005. The server has 48 GB of RAM. How large should I make the Operating System Partition?

Hi MMcginely, Thank you for posting in windows server forums, Your requirement depends on Total number of applicaitons your install ( present ) + total number of applications you install (later ) + caching files +archive files + application data And i am not concentrating on user profiles because you have an option to redirect their profiles to different drive. A desired would be 4- 8 GB for system partition and if you could give more you may need to justify if it really requires. Please do follow the link provided by JaymeW
