Hi, Microsoft Office 2003 product key can be activated at least on two computers beside student edition, which can be activated on three computers. So you don't need to remove the product key from the old laptop, if the times of activation is still within two. If you encounter any difficulty about Microsoft Office activation, you can also contact our Registration/Activation department at the toll-free phone number (888) 652-2342 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Pacific Time or post in Office newsgroup. If you are not in U.S, please refer to the following link http://support.microsoft.com/ and choose the location to get the local phone support. Thanks for that Morgan, Oops I forgot, there are 2 PCs in my house and it was installed on both (though only used on one), so the old laptop was PC number 3. That means I am out of activation possibilities. Am I snookered, even if the old laptop has been consigned to the scrapheap?CheersEd
