Oberthur Smart Cards Login Problem on 2008 R2
I have a 2008 R2 Domain having 2008 R2 Terminal Servers. Users log in on the Terminal Servers through SunRay Thin Clients. I have recently configured Smart Card Login for my domain. I am using Smart Cards from Oberthur. Most of the times the users log in successfully with the smart cards. But sometimes, while logging in, when the users gives the PIN the Terminal Server gives an error that the service lsass.exe has crashed. And then the Terminal Server restarts. When I check the Application Event Log of that Terminal Server it gives following 2 errors: Firstly Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 4/4/2012 1:25:11 PM Event ID: 1000 Task Category: (100) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: Terminal-Server1.jalebi.bai Description: Faulting application name: lsass.exe, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bc155 Faulting module name: OcsCSP.dll, version: 2.1.0.0, time stamp: 0x4c8f657e Exception code: 0x40000015 Fault offset: 0x0000000000059a33 Faulting process id: 0x3a0 Faulting application start time: 0x01cd123b80294ab8 Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\lsass.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Oberthur Technologies\AuthentIC Webpack\Dlls\OcsCSP.dll Report Id: b13ec444-7e2f-11e1-ae82-00155d230b02 Secondly Log Name: Application Source: Microsoft-Windows-Wininit Date: 4/4/2012 1:25:11 PM Event ID: 1015 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: Terminal-Server1.jalebi.bai Description: A critical system process, C:\Windows\system32\lsass.exe, failed with status code 255. The machine must now be restarted. What may be the probable cause? Are the Card drivers creating problem?
