OU
I have a question. When you have an office that have an organizational unit and this site has no technicians. What's the difference between using a RODC and a stub zone in DNS for this site. What would you choose and why?

A read-only domain controller (RODC) is a new type of domain controller in the Windows Server® 2008 operating system. With an RODC, organizations can easily deploy a domain controller in locations where physical security cannot
be guaranteed. An RODC hosts read-only partitions of the Active Directory® Domain Services (AD DS) database.
A stub zone is a copy of a zone that contains only those resource records necessary to identify the authoritative Domain Name System (DNS) servers for that zone. A stub zone is used to resolve names between separate DNS namespaces. This
type of resolution may be necessary when a corporate merger requires that the DNS servers for two separate DNS namespaces resolve names for clients in both namespaces.
You don't have to choose between RODC and Stub zones because they are two different things.
If you want to use RODC or DNS stub zones, refer to the two definitions I gave you so that you know why you should use them.

You need to provide more information.
What are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying add a RODC in the remote location?
You can see more info about Active directory on the following link:

Thank you for answering. This is a task from the class that I study. It only says that you have an OU and you must explain the difference between using a RODC and a stub zone in DNS for this site. I am not sure how I'm going to get that down on paper.
But maybe I can refer to the definitions you gave me MrX .

What do you think Santhosh Sivarajan?

You can’t compare RODC with Stub Zone.
RODC is a Domain Controller and Stub Zone is a type of DNS zone.
Please post the original question.

Original question? I have told you the question. They want to know the difference between using RODC and stub zone in DNS. That's why I don't know what to answer. Because I'm really not sure of the difference between those to in OU.....

I don’t believe that question is valid.
But you can provide the definition of
RODC and Stub Zone.

My school ask me this question, and a few other questions. And I have to deliver it by the end of the month.
