Not member computer cannot access shares on domain controller without credentials
Hello, we have System Center Endpoint Protection antivirus at workstations configured to download definition updates from UNC file share. Shared folder is located on domain controller. There is no problem with downloading definitions from domain computers. We also have 2 computers which are not in domain but have SCEP with same configuration. If I update definitions manually and user has saved credentials to access server there is not problem too. However SCEP should normally get definition updates automatically. For this reason, account NT Authority\Network Service is used. Because share is located on domain controller, credentials to access server are required, although NTFS and share permissions to that folder are set to Everyone - Read. Is there any solution to get rid of this problem?

While it's better to ask this question in Configuration Manager 2012 - Security and Compliance forum as suggested by Yousuf Ali, however try following and see if that helps. Add Authenticated Users on the share (NTFS Permissions) and provide READ permission. ThanksRegards, Santosh I do not represent the organisation I work for, all the opinions expressed here are my own.
