Not able to map network drive by hostname but able to map with ip address
Not able to map network drive by hostname but able to map with ip address <Server A> is act as an application server and file server. We use it as normal but it suddenly unable to resolve by hostname from other machines. All servers and workstations are not able to map the network drive under <Server A> with hostname, but all servers and workstation still able to map the network drive with IP address. When we try to connect the network drive with hostname it prompt with the error shown that there has authorizcation error. We tried and find out some points as below for your reference: Able to ping and resolve the hostname via all other servers and workstations.Able to access <Server A> with hostname by terminal serviceAble to map network drive with IP addressAble to map <Server A> itself with hostname

Hi, It seems to be a Kereros authentication issue. 1. Check if there are multiple machines with the same hostname in your domain. 2. Check if the SPN with the hostname is registered to another computer. 3. Check if the IP address is correct of the server you pinged with the hostname.
