No more email notifications

Can someone please help with an email notification issue? All of a sudden emails notifications stopped working.

After reporting this issue I received no additional messages

Alert description: Notification subsystem failed
to send notification using device/server xx over
'Smtp' protocol to xx
Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.HealthService.Modules.Notification.SmtpNotificationException:
Service not available, closing transmission channel. The server response was:
4.4.1 Connection timed out. Smtp status code 'ServiceNotAvailable'.

SMTP Channel is pointing to the exchange NLB and return address is a valid return address. I am currently using a Anonymous authentication.

Exchange - I have a relay that accepts anonymous authentication with the servers IP address.

What happens when you telnet to port 25 on the Exchange NLB IP from the server sending notification?

The problem seems the issue came from Exchange side. Make sure that
1) You can Telnet port 25 of Exchange NLB
2) Exchange NLB allows annoymous authenticaion
