No ADFS PS Snappin Installed or Found

Hello.

I have installed ADFS 2.0 as per the following article(a lab environment):
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/adfs2-sharepoint-federated-collaboration-step-by-step-guide-00%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

I then tried to use the Powershell scripting for further testing and development. I came across an error similar to the one described below:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/5e9f0711-62a4-4ae0-a24d-984f8ad38b7e/adfs-20-no-powershell-snapin?forum=winserverpowershell

Despite trying all the suggestions, I still get the same issue. Running "get-PSSnapin -Registered" just goes to the next line. The 32 and 64 bit PS programs both list different modules when I run "get-Module -listavailable". Neither shows ADFS.

Has anyone else seen this or had luck resolving it?

Regards

ADFS snapin is installed into the AD MMC.  It is not a PowerShell snapin.

Here is the PowerShell version:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/adfs2-help-using-windows-powershell(v=ws.10).aspx

It is called Microsoft.Adfs.PowerShell

Look at the setup (roles and features) to see if the support files were selected for load if this name still doesn't work.

Are you on WS2008R2 oor WS2012R2?
