Networking issues...
I am working with a Windows XP SP2 client workstation thatI cannot ping, map its share drives, or RDP into it for the life of me. I have disabled thewindows firewall/internet connection sharing (ICS) service, I have uninstalledwindowsfirewall service completely, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the ethernet drivers, performed a winsock repair, uninstalled and reset TCP/IP protocol, released and renewed the IP address (which is aquired a new one), and I still cannot access this machine remotely. A side note, after performing all the above, I had restarted and tried to access the system remotely after each individual instance. This client does not have a third party application firewall in place either. When I ping the hostname the IP address resolves correctly, yet it still times out.Any thoughts?

Alright, I figured this one out, and for whomever else experiences this issue. The problem was with the Cisco VPN client's stateful firewall.
