Network trafic on the wrong interface
Hello all here is the probleme. I have 2 servers connected to 2 differents and independant networks each other (i am sur of this, no gateway beetwen the 2 networks) when i copy (network copy) using @ip of network1 for instance, the trafic goes throug network2 when i analyse the tcp/ip flow, i can see that the ip adress doesn't match the right @ip. @ip network1 matches with mac adress connected to network2 though, arp tables are correct on both servers NIC Drivers have been updated on both servers below some configuration details 1rst server windows2003 sp2, nic broadcom BCM7508 1rst NIC: 192.168.0.20 netmask: 255.255.255.0 2nd NIC: 10.162.192.227netmask: 255.255.255.128 2nd servers windows2003 sp2, nic broadcom BCM7508 1rst NIC: 192.168.0.30 netmask: 255.255.255.0 2nd NIC: 192.168.0.31 netmask: 255.255.255.0 3 NIC: 10.162.192.227netmask: 255.255.255.128 thank you for your help

Hello Batman,I am having a bit of trouble understanding the overall objective and question. However, please note that for for proper functionality, you need a layer 3 device (Router) between two subnets. If you wish to avoid the cost of a hardware router and you are running Windows server, you can enable RRAS which will properly route TCP/IP traffic between the two subnets.Miguel Fra / Falcon ITS Miguel Fra www.falconits.com
