Network interface addresses does not want to get saved.....
On a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise server with 2 BroadCom BCM5716C network cards. I name one Network, Frontend and the other one Backend. On the Frontend Network, i set the ipaddress 192.168.1.178 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 with gw 192.168.1.1 On the Backend Network, i set the ipaddress 10.10.10.178 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 with no gw Now comes the problem.... if i run ipconfig i got this: Frontend network DHCP enabled with no ip. Backend network has ipAdress 192.168.1.178. Oki, i try to set everything now again.. ipconfig again.. This time: Frontend and backend has DHCP enabled. Frontend has 10.10.10.178 backend has no ip.. Trying to set everything through netsh. Setting upp everything again.. This time the ipnumbers are correct. BUT the interfaces says still they are DHCP enabled. And if i look in the gui, it looks like the network cards has no static ipnumber and if they should get everything from dhcp.. What is happening???/jonas

Reinstall the drivers again and then assign the IP address manually without using netsh on each interface. Execute the below command. ipconfig /registerdns If not resolve, contact your dell vendor. Thanks
