Network Neighborhood - Empty
Beginning today network neighborhood is empty on all computers. There's only 1 subnet. On a DC I ran: browstat status and got this: Status for domain BD on transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{E2597EB2-AC4B-4727-92A6-8 ECAC6E2C229} Browsing is active on domain. Master browser name is: BDADMIN Master browser is running build 3790 2 backup servers retrieved from master BDADMIN \\BDIBS \\BDADMIN Unable to retrieve server list from BDADMIN: 64 Status for domain BD on transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{7EB1C726-50E7-4E89-B497-4 3592FFB043A} Browsing is active on domain. Master browser name is: BDADMIN Master browser is running build 3790 1 backup servers retrieved from master BDADMIN \\BDADMIN There are 44 servers in domain BD on transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{7EB1C726 -50E7-4E89-B497-43592FFB043A} Unable to retrieve server list from BDADMIN: 64 It says the Master Browser is running. Why would net hood be empty?

I hope you have check the KB135404 article. Thanks Yousuf Ali | Microsoft Community Contributor Award 2011 No, I just checked, I don't have any of those events in the Event log. Also, no servers are multi-homed.

Hi, Please enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP on systems first. I also would like to suggest you check if the Computer Browser service is started, if all the computers cannot be viewed in My Network Places. If it does not work, I also would like to suggest you run the command: Nbtstat –c to check if the 1B record is registered. If not, please run another command: Nbtstat –R to clear and reload the NetBIOS name cache. If WINS or Broadcast name resolution is not possible for the 1B record you can add a LMHosts to the machine. For the detailed steps, please read the following Microsoft KB article: How to Write an LMHOSTS File for Domain Validation and Other Name http://support.microsoft.com/?id=180094 Please also check if there is any product, such as SonicWALL which has the feature to disable NETBIOS traffic may cause the issue. You may disable the firewall to check the result. The browsing client must be able to connect to remote Domain Naming Master via UDP 137/138. If the issue persists, please refer to the following link to troubleshoot the Microsoft Computer Browser Service: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/188305 Regards,Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
