Network Interface Disappears
Hi,
I have a strange case where the network interface disappears after the system runs for a few weeks. The properties for the interface shows the error message "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer". Also, for the rest of the interface,
the general properties section displays the Location as PCI Slot ##, but for this interface i is shown as "Location ##". Any ideas?
Thanks,
Christopher.

Hi Christopher
It could be that the NIC is faulty and might decide to retire for good very soon.. what i suggest you try and do is check to see if the NIC is properly installed, and update the driver for the NIC or even try reinstalling the driver after checking that the
NIC is properly installed on the machine. If the problem persists, i advise buying a new NIC and keeping it on standby just in case or better yet replacing the old NIC.
I hope this helps

Thanks!! I'll try this out. I guess this issue has nothing to do with the OS.
