Hey Zibak
As fas as I know there is not a MP for Netbackup. That being said its not soo hard to come up with some basic monitoring that would do the job.
If you look at your netbackup server you have a number of Netback services, if you create a unit monitor to alert you when they have stopped, also go to the eventvwr and have a look at the alerts from netackup, then create an event based rule to alert you on that too. Lastly if your netwrok backup agent is started on your servers would help too.

If your stuck on the above let me know and Ill help you out.

Thank you Paul as always for your help. So far what I have selected for alerts' notification (monitor and rules) is all of the windows, iis, print server, sql, sharepoint, dhcp, eventvwrservices, hp hardware failure and low disk space with resolutions to receive only new status. Does this sound okay? Where do I create an event bases rules?

Hi Ziba
No probelm on the help, I get the same help of others in the forum...
You set up the monitors and rules from the authoring console.

this is a link to a load of SCOM 5min vids and they will help you loads
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/opsmgr/bb498237.aspx

Go to the one on rules and monitors and have a look
When you have a better idea, try and create a unit monitor for windows service and let me know if your stuck.
If you mail me the names of the netbackup services on your backup server ill help you with the monitors..

Hi Shubhashis,

The management pack is NetBackup.Operations.Manager.xml.

You can read on the SCOM 2007 Management Pack Guide for Symantec NetBackup.pdf guide in the attachment for the steps to install the management pack.
- Read the chapter To deploy SCOM Management Pack on the SCOM server on page 15

Thank you. Hope it helps.

There is two management packs, one for the NetBackup Operation Manager and NetBackup Ops Center. Download the management pack at the bottom of the page below, with the for deploying the SCOM Pack for NetBackup. It also describes how you can integrate NOM and SCOM 2007 to be able to receive SNMP trap alerts using SCOM 2007.
