Need clean font for SSRS Export to PDF

What's a good looking and clean font to use when exporting reports to PDF? Everything I try comes out jagged looking. For example round curves are jagged and diagonal lines like in upper case W are very jagged. I'm hoping to find something similar to Arial, Verdana, Segoe UI, etc. that works good.

Any recommendations?

Hi moondaddy,

According to your description, we are still not clear what the "clear font" is.

In Reporting Services, it support a lot of fonts like Arial, Verdana, Segoe UI, etc. When possible, the PDF rendering extension embeds the subset of each font that is needed to display the report in the PDF file. When the report server generates a report in PDF format, it uses the information stored in the font referenced by the report to create character mappings within the PDF file. You can directly use these fonts when exporting into PDF. Please refer to Font Embedding in the link below:

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

Thanks Simon,

I tried to explain "clean font" as something that has smooth round curves instead of jagged pixelated lines.  I'm attaching an image that contains some text from a ssrs report exported to a pdf, and then the same text using the same font (Segoe UI) in Word.  The text in the top line is from the pdf and the text on the bottom is from Word.  I would like a font that works in PDFs so it looks a clean as it does in word.    I hope you can understand what I mean now.

Thank you.

I had a similar issue with fonts displaying as very jagged and pixelated when converting a report to PDF. Was using basic Arial font, 10pt. I was able to resolve the issue by setting the background fill color of the text box (or in this case Pie Chart) to WHITE as opposed to NOTHING. This cleared the issue up for me.
