NVidia Geforce Video Card with fresh install of Windows Server 2008r2 Driver Issues
Update on this post. Was loading randomly previous versions of the 64bit Nvidia Driver, found 197.45 for W7 64bit. Did the manual install through the Nvidia self extraction application that comes with the files (eg double click the file name and it works). This installed correctly, fully working driver set, that fixed the resolution issues, found the Samsung 16:10 screen (no more 1280x1024) and the card was found, still no MS auto update to the new driver, however when I manually loaded the new 260.xx for Windows 7, (double click the download from the NVidia site), this installed correctly. A link to the Geforce Driver can be found here. http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_winvista_64bit_197.45_whql.html I hope that my 3 days is helpful to somebody else. If not well I hope that I provided enough entertainment to someone on NY Day. Good Health this NY. Hydrans Server is not detecting the card, and therefore we are working at a non-native screen resolution getting the typically associated headaches. I have tried with no success. 1. Win 7 64bit drivers 260.xx 2. Win 7 64bit drivers 263.xx for the new series of cards 3. Win 2003 64bit server drivers for the GTX200 series cards. No success on any of them. There does not appear to be a driver set on the net that is working with 2008r2 for the GTX295, I am hoping that someone can give me some advice on how to get this card working on the machine so save me having to go and purchase a new card.

I'd try this one. http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-260.99-whql-driver.html If not I'd ask them here. http://www.geforce.com/#/Community http://www.geforce.com/#/Support Edit; Actually it appears to be natively supported. You might try another slot or possibly the hardware is bad. http://www.windowsservercatalog.com/item.aspx?idItem=186c1156-0322-4295-9823-91660c24b41c&bCatID=1284 Regards, Dave Patrick ....
