NTFS is it possible to prevent creating and moving folders at top level?
I would like the following setup: The problem today is that I can prevent users from creating folders on top level by setting a special ACL for "this folder", but it's not possible to prevent people from moving the folder "level2_1" into "level2_2" unless I specify separate ACL's for the level2 folders. Thus a lot of ACL's has to be created, and it will prevent users from creating their own subfolders at level2... So.. Is it possible to do what I want to do?

Hello On the top folder share permission: Authenticated users=>Read, Modify, Administrators=>Full control NTFS-Security Permission: IT Member group => Modify Go to Advanced tab, add Authenticated Users (Everyone) give modify, read, write etc and on the Apply to drop down menu, select subfolders and files ONLY. This will achieve your goals Hope this helps, Isaac Oben MCITP:EA, MCSE,MCC View my MCP Certifications
