I am facing ntbackup issue while performing full system backup on windows 2000 Advanced server using Administrator account to perform a backup. Can any one please look into it. Seems to be a security related problem on the recycler folder which is usually hidden. Please ensure that administrators and backup opertaotr have full permissons.Thankshttp://technetfaqs.wordpress.com

I am also facing this issue. After seven years of no problems, my backups on my Windows 2000 Server sp4 terminal services server usually fail, with a problem backing up the system state.When I log on locally to the terminal services server as Administrator and run NTBACKUP to backup the system state, it backs up 2021 of 2022 files and gives the following error message:Error: You do not have permission to access portions of System State\Registry\software.Please see the owner or administrator to get permission.Warning: Unable to open the file \Registry\software - skipped.I don't think it is a permissions issue. Occasionally it succees. No permissions have changed over the last month, but the problem just started a month ago after seven years of success.I hope sone has a solution.
