NLA Detection and Firewall Questions
I have a server (Server1)that is running external DNS and Routing and Remote Access, so it has 2 internal nic cards. I have one of the NIC cardsconnected to the internet like so:WANIP: 66.66.66.70Sub:255.255.255.252Gate:66.66.66.69DNS: 127.0.0.1The LAN is configured as such:LANIP: 192.168.10.1Sub: 255.255.255.0Gate: NoneDNS:192.168.10.2 (Domain Controller and Internal DNS)I have all my servers running on the LAN, one of which is a domain controller. Some servers are running in Virtual Server. Every time I reboot Server1 I get unidentified network for the LAN side, when this happens I lose connectivity (Remote Desktop) untill I log in on the consoleand mark the network as private. Why is the network being detected as unidentified? It was to my understanding that it uses the gateway butI don't think I'm suppose to have a gateway on the LAN side.My second question is firewall related, If I have 5 serverswith 2 nic cards in each one; one for WAN and one for LAN, is it possible to secure all traffic on the WAN but enable full access on the LAN?
