NAT stops working after a while and after reboot Windows 2008
Hi, I've been googling this issue for years now and haven't found the answer and it's being to really bother me. On Windows 2008 Standard (R2 or not) after i configure the RRAS to be VPN +NAT it works perfectly untill one day it stops or usualy after reboots (due to windows updates etc) To fix, i Disable RRAS and Reconfigure. Sometimes like today it broke immediately and i had to Remove Role, restart, add role again. Most times i just Disable/Reconfigure from scratch. -I have 5 Windows 2003 servers that work PERFECTY -One Windows 2008 Standard SP1 has this issue -Three 2008 R2 have this issue. Network: I use Dedicated Servers at web hosts with one Public Interface + loopback adapter. Add RRAS role and configure either CUSTOM or VPN+NAT or VPN and add NAT later. It works, and users dial-in and can then surf with new NAT IP. When it breaks, the NAT protocol Window shows "-" "-" where it used to show bytes inbound and outbound. Removing Adapters and adding again doesn't help, removing NAT doesnt' help. Only Disable and Reconfigure. VPN works but NAT doesn't. No errors related to this and IP6 is disabled. Please help! thanks /Johnny
