Mutiple user laptop login
I am looking for the best way to set up a mutiple user laptop on my local firehouse network. I have setup up this network with a donated serverthen intergrated the desktop and laptop into itThe server is 2003 with AD. I have set up roaming profiles with folder redirect enabled. The laptop is running XP pro and works ok at the firehouse. The problem arises when the user takes the laptop home and login with there name and password. The laptop obviously can't find there redirects until they login to the vpn. This is not good for allot of computer illiterate people. Is there a better/easier way?

Hello,Remember that, at the firehouse, the laptop have access to connect to the domain, hence user can log on with no problem. But once the get home, the laptop can not find the domain unless the user connects through the VPN. So you will have to train your users because connecting via your vpn might be the only solution when they are at home.Isaac Oben MCITP:EA, MCSE

Hi, Please try to use Offline cache to workaround this problem. Use Offline Files When You're off the Network http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/mobility/learnmore/offlinefiles.mspx Configuring Group Policy for Offline Files http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc759721(WS.10).aspx Thanks.
