Multiple Sessions using a single domain user account in Windows Server 2003 - Limitations ?
Hello All, We have an application running on Windows Server 2003 member server. We have number of mobile computers, running the client version of the application, connecting to the Windows Server using one domain user name. Recently the number of mobile computers have gone up sharply, and we are getting the domain user account locked out very frequently. Are there any limitations on number of concurrent sessions one domain user name can have in Windows Server 2003? Thank you all in advance, Naushad.

No there is no limitations to the number of concurrent sessions by one user to the server. The account lockouts may be because of multiple users entering incorrect passwords at a time. Have you considered using AD service accounts to enable access to your application to multiple users instead of having them use a single user account? Sachin Gadhave (MCP, MCTS)
