Hi, Thanks for your post. Did you mean that after enable 2nd NIC, the server loose the connection with LAN 192.168.1.0/24? What server role and special application has been installed on the server? The route table is clean, but you may use tracert command to ensure routing is working. Please also verify that we only set the default gateway on the primary NIC. In addition, temporary disable anti-virus and firewall on the server. Make sure the Primary NIC on top than the Secondary NIC on Network Binding order. Yes loose connection with LAN 192.168.1.0/24. Whats interesting is I was connected via RDP and that connection didnt go down but I could not ping the address/ I have already checked binding order, There is only one default gateway, I disabled firewall. This is only a SQL server no other services being provided, except I guess IIS for report services. I will try the tracert and disabling the virus software. Jim

When both NICs are enabled From ther server I can still ping gateway and all computers on 192.168.1.0/24 Howerver From another machine on that network I can not ping 192.168.1.16 I turned off virus scanning and no change. I ran diagnostics on primary adapter and it reset the adapter and no change Jim

Hi, Sorry for the delay. How are things going? Also check the firewall setting and anti-virus on the client machine. Do you mind also post the ipconfig of the client computer? Hi, Then, please apply the latest update for the NIC driver. You may also temporarily disable TCP Offloading, RSS and TCP Chimney, to see if the issue still persists.
