Hi,

I have 2 Hyper-V hosts, both on 2012 R2.  I just added both to be managed by VMM 2012 R2.  Every 30 minutes, MsiInstaller logs a 1035 event to advise that it has 'Reconfigured' the product and does so for each app installed on the server.

On one host, I removed it from VMM.  As such, this stopped the 1035's being logged. So this points to the vmmagent.

Anyone else see this and/or have a fix?

Please ensure that the hyper-v host and VMM server are up-to-date .

In addition , please check if  the VMM 2012R2 was installed latest RollUp .

I have the exact same problem, and I know it has something to do with the scvmm agent on the hyper-v nodes.

Did you find a solution for this?

Running SCVMM 2012 R2 UR 5 here.

Getting the same problem, application event logs filling up with event ID 1035 messages.

This problem did not exist until I upgraded to UR 5.

Add me to the list. Just found this same behavior on all my Windows 2012 R2 Hyper-V hosts. It is not happening on my Windows 2008 R2 hosts.

You should be able to safely ignore these events. We're investigating fix options for it in the meantime.

Hi,

Try installing UR7 as this is addressed in the notes as a resolved issue.

Update Rollup 5 issues that are fixed in this Update Rollup

• Recurring MSIInstaller event 1035 occurs during host refresh cycles.
• HyperVMeteringUsage Inbound/Outbound does not have localized display strings.
• In the Create VM Wizard when you click the Expected Utilization button, the expected results are not displayed on the Select Host tab.
• Remove-CloudService fails when F5 load balancer is used for the VM role
