MsMpeng.exe continously using high disk I/O causing backup to run for 10 to 15 hours and failing backups. Backups giving USN journal errors. For troubleshooting I have disable forefront but anyone knows why this using disk constantly ? There's no any similar AV software installed on server. Any thoughts!

Does MsMpeng.exe consume excessive CPU or memory?

Try update FEP and run a full system scan and also restart your PC and check whether this issue persist.
