Moving KMS server

Hi,

Looking to move my KMS service from an old server to a new one.

The guides I find all refer to the 2012 R2 KMS key. I have an excel file for our company with all the various products KMS and MAK keys.

Question 1:

Is that the KMS key I should be using, or should there be a different KMS key on some MS portal or something that's our special KMS key for the KMS service installation?

in other words:

Is an excel file with hundreds of KMS and MAK keys the place you would normally get the KMS key from to use for the KMS service?

Question 2:

Does the 2012 R2 key cover Windows 7 an other legacy OS? (or do I need to installs KMS keys for those as well on the new server?)

Question 3:

Do I need to install an Office 2013 KMS key as well?

Question 4:

Any other products generally covered by KMS like Systems Center, Exchange, Lync etc? Fairly sure we use non KMS keys for them.

Thanks!

Hi Trana,

1. Yes.

About the problem of license, we could ask activation center for help:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/Licensing/existing-customer/activation-centers.aspx

2. Yes.

3. If you want to activate Office 2013, yes. And it needs to be installed:
Microsoft Office 2013 Volume License Pack:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35584

4. As far as I know, Visio and Project and be activated.

Best Regards,

Leo
