Monitoring pfSense via SNMP

Hi

I've got pfSense machine in my network and I want monitor it with SCOM 2012. I decide to use SNMP, because SCOM haven't got any MP for minotoring FreeBSD but support SNMP MIB-II.

My pfSense device discovered succesfuly, but I can monitor just avaliability of all host at all. No interfaces statistics, no processor utilization or something other. Intresting, that for SNMP Walk I got error:

Initialization of a module of type "SnmpWalkWA" (CLSID "{C3713D4D-B1FF-4835-A644-8EF774830FA2}") failed with error code The file exists. causing the rule "System.NetworkManagement.Monitoring.SnmpWalkTask" running for instance "192.168.25.101" with id:"{7233A1CD-8189-DC2C-7817-C6D597F50DB1}" in management group "VGC".
Error Code: -2130771961 (Unknown error (0x80ff0007)).

Maybe somebody have any idea, how I can monitor pfSense health and perfomance? Thanks.

The issue is somewhere hitting a bug. May be you need to wait to get an update on this unless somebody has any idea on this.

As you may be aware, this is not a supported device for advanced monitoring (only up/down). You'll need to author your own MP for this.

Understand the MIB and OID's of your device: http://files.pfsense.org/misc/mibs/

Also wondering if this information would help: http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2790.txt

Have you guys found any other ways to do this? Just thought I'd check, as it's been a few years since the original post...
