Monitoring CPU and RAM usage of a process
Hi, Can someone suggest a tool that monitors CPU and RAM usage per process? As far as I can determine procmon.exe & perfmon.exe do not provide these sorts of stats. thanks Jamiehttp://sqlblog.com/blogs/jamie_thomson/ | @jamiet | About me

OK, I've just found the 'Process' object in perfmon that looks like it might do what I need except for one problem...the process that I want to monitor must exist when I set up the perfmon counter. In my case the process is due to run overnight and of course I won't know the ProcessID so I need to capture all instances of a particular process name. Anyone know of something that can help with this?http://sqlblog.com/blogs/jamie_thomson/ | @jamiet | About me

Hi Jamie, In this case, I am afraid that you will have to monitor “All instances” in order to monitor that process. There is a Windows Perfmon and Diagnostic Tools forum special for discussing performance monitor (perfmon), resource monitor (resmon), and task manager. The experts there may be able to provide you with more suggestions.
