Missing features
I am a student at PTI in Pittsburgh and have access to MSDN Academic Alliance. I got the Windows Server 2003 Enterprise and installed in on a system, that was compatible with it, and after installing I tried to turn on Windows Update. The feature isn't there. When I click "Windows Update" in the server manager it doesn't do anything. Also when I boot the server and log in, it prompts to activate windows. When I click the balloon, it too does nothing. Also, I went into Administrative Tools under Start and the Scheduled Tasks also isn't functioning. Shortly after, I downloaded the Service Pack 2 upgrade from the Microsoft Website and attempted to install it and it claimed that the ini file used to store information is invalid.:D

Sounds like an activation problem. Probably the quickest way to get an answer is to login to MSDN and start a chat session with MSDN concierge. Regards, Dave Patrick .... Microsoft Certified Professional -Microsoft MVP [Windows]
