Hello, In addition to Edwin's suggestion, would you please also try the following commands one-by-one to manually register these DLL files (most of similar problems can be resolved after this): cd %systemroot%\system32 net stop vss net stop swprv regsvr32 ole32.dll regsvr32 vss_ps.dll Vssvc /Register regsvr32 /i swprv.dll regsvr32 /i eventcls.dll regsvr32 es.dll regsvr32 stdprov.dll regsvr32 vssui.dll regsvr32 msxml.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll regsvr32 msxml4.dll Then, try reboot the server to see how it goes. I've been working on VSS issues on the last month and what I can see is most of the issues can be fixed doing the Chang Yin suggestion that you can find on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940184/en-us But, follow the MS instruction, reset the +COM services and MS Shadow copy server and VSS service. And then, try again to comes up the vssadmin list writers, NO ERRORS should be appear. Cheers! Pablo
