Missing Getting Started Tasks on login
When I login to Windows Server 2008 the first screen I get is the Initial Configuration Tasks. From what I have read, the first screen should be Getting Started Task. Is there something missing from the install? Thanks. Vic

Hi, Where did you read the first screen is Getting Started Task? The Initial Configuration Tasks wizard appears immediately upon the first login after the Windows Server 2008 installation. As I know, the Getting Started task pane automatically opens when launching Office programs. For more information about Initial Configuration Tasks and the Getting Started task pane http://blogs.technet.com/keithcombs/archive/2007/05/18/windows-server-2008-screencast-initial-configuration-tasks.aspx http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816949 Hope it helps.
