Is it mandatory to create Affinity group for MA setup or we can just use V-Net and create the MA setup? Because Affinity group is not recomm
Hi,
Creation of Region/affinity group/virtual network is required and you need to specify an Azure region, or an existing affinity group or VNet in your subscription . If you create or select the existing affinity group the Azure Red Dog Front end will force the services to be placed with in the same cluster in the near by location so that all the services can be together.
To create Affinity group, do the following:
Step 1: Login to Azure UI with Azure Account credentials. Navigate to Settings>Affinity
Groups>Add tab.
Step 2: Create Affinity Group pop-up window appears. Enter the affinity group
details to create a new Affinity group. Enter Name,
Description and Region and click Check icon
to create the group.
Step 3: Monitor the creation of the new Affinity Group. After successful creation of the Affinity Group, a confirmation message appears.

Hi Mohd_Zaid,
If you have established the site-to-site VPN connectivity between source Enterprise and Azure for migration then you can skip to create an Affinity group .
Hope this helps.
